Let’s get our FAQs straight…
How much terrain do you have access to?
We are permitted to access 300,000 acres, with almost countless landing zones.
When do you operate?
滚球体育For the 2020 season, we will be operating from 3/1/20 to 4/19/20
How do I reserve my spot?
滚球体育We need 50% to hold your seat on our schedule, and then we need the remaining 50% 60 days before your arrival date.
Do you offer accommodations?
Yes! We are offering accommodations at the Funny Farm for $60/night for a shared room, or $110 for a private one.
How much vertical do I get?
We do not charge by vertical. The money burns as the heli flies, therefore we charge by the run.
How many runs do I get each day?
For the Day Trippers, $795 you get four runs, then if you are enjoying yourself and want to ski more that day, it is an additional $185 per run. If we are unable to fly on a day you are scheduled, your four runs are ‘banked’ and can be used the following day, or later in the 2020 season.
滚球体育For the Full Senders, we aim to get at least four runs in each day, but we have built in a little downtime into your package, and rely on the conditions and weather to tell us when to ski more, or when to ski less.
How much vertical is each run?
We have runs that range from 2000ft to 5000ft, but what you ski each day is determined by stability and snow quality. Rest assured knowing that your guide also wants to ski the biggest line, with the best snow possible, so everyone wants the same thing here, but safety always comes first.
What type of helicopters do you fly in?
滚球体育We fly in AStars
How do I get to Haines?
滚球体育Getting to Haines is part of the adventure. If you are traveling from the Lower 48, or ‘Down South’ as Alaskans call it, fly to Juneau from Seattle via Alaska Airlines. From Juneau, we suggest taking the ferry to Haines. The ferry is rarely affected or cancelled due to weather, and costs only $50 per person to walk on. Flying to Haines is possible and costs about $130 per person. However, flights are affected and cancelled due to weather, so we suggest making your schedule around the ferry.
If you are traveling to Haines from Canada or Europe, flying to Whitehorse via Vancouver may be the best choice. However, you must rent a car in Whitehorse for a four-hour spectacular drive and cross the US-Canadian border. Four wheel drive is advised.
How big are the groups?
Since our AStars are outfitted with a jump seat in the front row, depending on the size and weight of the group members, a group is 4 or 5 skiers.
My friends are lame, can I come solo?
滚球体育You absolutely can! Showing up solo can have major advantages, and it makes it even more of an adventure for you.
Can we pay by the Hobbs hour?
Yes, full groups and media crews can pay for the time they fly, instead of by the number of runs they ski.
